Welcome Back 2017-2018

Dear Springfield Elementary Families,

The Springfield Elementary Staff and I are excited to welcome you to what promises to be an outstanding school year. Throughout the summer we have been busy preparing for another amazing year of learning, growing, and succeeding. The members of our team have spent a great amount of time reviewing data, assessments, and preparing materials so our students receive the best possible education. We are looking forward to utilizing our new math material (Expressions) that align to the new more rigorous NE State Standards. We are eager to sharing more with you about your child’s learning and instruction throughout the year.

The maintenance staff has been busy cleaning rooms, painting, sprucing up the outside of the building, and making our building welcoming. Over the summer the basketball hoops were replaced and lines will be painted before school starts, if everything goes according to plan. We are in the process of adding three permanent benches to the playground. We are all eager to have students back in our classrooms and hallways filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning.

Our highly qualified professional educators and support staff are committed to providing each student opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed. We strive to help each student know they are cared for and part of the Springfield Elementary family. It is our goal that every student has the skills, strategies, and knowledge to be successful as students and world citizens.

Working together, students, parents, and teachers make our amazing Springfield Elementary community successful and strong. Please know that we highly value the relationships between home and school. Communication is vital and plays an integral role in the success of each student. We encourage you to contact us if/when the need arises and to stay in the know about your child’s studies, assignments, and school activities.  We look forward to working with you and sharing more information about the phenomenal work we are doing over the course of the year.

Again, we welcome you to Springfield Elementary and to our wonderful community… a place where students learn, grow and succeed.

  Sincerely,

Kaela Heneger,                                                                                                   Principal Springfield Elementary                                                 kheneger@springfieldplatteview.org                                                                                      Office 402-253-2245
